COACHING IN SASKATCHEWAN

It is incumbent on the coach to obtain and maintain coach requirements and education.  

Coaches and club need to read the following 2 documents:

Coaches must register each season. 

The registration period is open from Sept 1 to August 31 of each season for Year-round Age Group club coaches and Masters club coaches and May 1 to August 31 for Summer club coaches.

Coaches must meet minimum requirements to be a registered coach:  

  • Be a minimum of 15 years of age to actively coach with an affiliated club in Canada. 

  • Register annually prior to becoming active in a coaching position. Coaches must be fully registered within 14 days of actively coaching.

  • Complete the CSCA Screening questions on a yearly basis within 14 days of commencing coach duties. 

  • Submit a Police/Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search for those ages 18 and over. 

  • Complete Respect in Sport (RiS) certification as required by Sask Sport Inc.
