Swimming is a physical activity that people engage in for recreation or sport.
Swim Saskatchewan is the Provincial Sport Governing body for the sport of swimming here in Saskatchewan. In Saskatchewan, swimming is a club-based sport. To become a member, you must join one of our affiliated clubs that offer programming based on a competitive swimming foundation. This may include:

Swim Saskatchewan is a member of Swimming Canada. “Swimming Canada serves as the national governing body of competitive swimming. Canadians are global leaders in high performance swimming and development for both able-bodied swimmers and swimmers with a disability. AGE GROUP
Swimming for Precompetitive, Fitness and Competitive Swimming for youth.
Age Group Swimming operates Sept 1 – Aug 31 annually.
PARA
Para-swimming is Swimming Canada’s fully integrated swimming program for persons with a disability from grassroots to elite.
MASTERS
Masters swimming is for those aged 18+ and operates Sept 1 – Aug 31 annually.
VARSITY
Varsity Swimming operates Sept 1 – March 31 or Aug 31 annually.
Saskatchewan currently has one Varsity Team: The University of Regina Cougars Swim Team.
SUMMER
Summer Swimming operates seasonally, May 1 – Aug 31 annually.
