Last season Swim BC challenged Swim Alberta in what was called the Golden Flipper Challenge. This was a competition where each athlete had an opportunity to compete in the 50 fly, 100 fly, and the 200fly with the top 8 swimmers scoring points for their team and province. The results were absolute over the season for both short course and long course rankings. This means that swimmers had the chance to improve their times and replace their old times and climb the rankings. Here is a link to the Swim BC vs Swim AB challenge. This year Swim BC has challenged Swim Sask and Swim Manitoba to a similar challenge. We have accepted the challenge!
Swim BC will put their Island Region and Whitehorse Glacier Bears in Yukon swimmers against all of Saskatchewan and Manitoba (combined) in the 200 breaststroke. Results will be taken from competitions starting in October. The first set of rankings will be released in November.
